How to register a WhatsApp API number by yourself (self-service)

1. Functional Introduction

This tutorial provides detailed help tutorials for customers who need to obtain WhatsApp API numbers through self-registration.

Compared with self-purchase, self-create can obtain daily free times, but the acquisition process is more complicated. It is recommended to purchase numbers through the platform.

 

2. Operation process

Preparation:

Your WhatsApp business account requires the following information, please be sure to prepare this information:
  • Your Brand Display Name
  • Your Company Legal Name
  • Official address of your company
  • Log in with your FB account and use it to configure your WhatsApp business account
  • Mobile number not registered with WhatsApp for receiving the code

 

1. Go to [Integration] - [WhatsApp API] - [Self-service] - [Self-service registration] 

2.Click [Use Facebook Authorization]

 

3. Click to continue logging in as xxxx

 

4. Click [Start]

 

5. Select your Metea business account and continue

 
 

6. Select "Other" for type. Website is optional, or fill in the niche website that can be accessed normally

 

7. Enter the number you have never registered for WhatsApp APP, select the verification method and continue

 
 

8. Enter the received [Verification Code] and continue

 
 

9. Click to continue

 

10. Click Done

 
 
 
Congratulations! You have completed the self-service registration process for the WhatsApp API number. Just wait for Facebook to review the number. The official review time is 24 hours. Please refer to the official review of Facebook, not SaleSmartly.
 
After Facebook official review, repeat the above steps to synchronize the WhatsApp api number you just registered to the salesmartly system

② WhatsApp official return error reason

  1. (#100) WABA inputted (id 313874830138583) is already using a payment method - Please try again. If the problem still cannot be solved, please contact customer service

Reason: This is the information about setting up credit control. Generally, the customer manually sets the currency on Facebook's WABA, so it is impossible to bind to Alibaba

Solution: You can only recreate a waba (WhatsApp Business API)

 

③The number of bound phone numbers for this business account has reached the upper limit

The number of bound phone numbers for this business account has reached the upper limit. Please remove a phone number to continue the operation, or apply for more phone numbers

Solution: Please refer to step [Figure 1] in [View Facebook Review Results], and then delete the number in the following image position, as shown in the following figure:

 

④ We are unable to verify the Meta business account you have selected

“We cannot verify the Meta business account you selected. Please return to the previous page to select another account, or go to the Meta Business Manager to resolve the issue.

Reasons and solutions:This refers to your Facebook Business Manager platform, the full English name (Facebook Business Manager), referred to as BM, which has been officially banned. In this case, you can only change a BM

 

 

⑤This WhatsApp business account does not have the right to add a phone number to this account

Reason: This refers to your Facebook business management platform, the full English name (Facebook Business Manager), referred to as BM, has been officially banned, blocking your Waba (WhatsApp Business API)

Solution: Change the WhatsApp Business app account number

 

⑥Your business management platform has been banned from using advertising features, including app sharing

Reason: Facebook official problem. We also rely on Alibaba Cloud to create accounts, but Facebook official may temporarily limit it due to technical reasons.

Solution: Change WhatsApp  number or change time

 

⑧How to break the 24-hour 250-session limit for self-registered numbers?

Do company verification. If there is no company verification, there are 250 sessions. For details, please see 

 

⑨I want to delete this self-registration number. Where can I delete it?

Go to FB backend to delete, for specific steps, see: See Figure 4 in the Facebook audit results

 

 

⑩This phone number has been registered with an existing WhatsApp account

Reason: This number has been registered with WhatsApp app number
Solution: Change the number or unbind it from the existing account, then return to the current page and re-enter this number
