2. Key Features
2.1. Top self-service paging and third-party paging
In the [ WhatsApp API ] channel, the top is divided into two sections: self-service and third-party. The sections are described as follows:
- Self-service: You can manage WhatsApp API numbers purchased from the Salesmartly platform or created on your official website, including adding numbers, recharging, changing number status, migrating contacts, editing automation, configuring customer service, testing messages and other core operations.

2.3. Self-service - add number
Most of the core functions revolve around the prerequisite of successfully adding numbers. It can be seen that adding numbers is very important. Self-service provides two ways to add numbers, namely self-service purchase and self-service registration.
- Self-service account purchase: You can purchase the platform API number (platform number) provided by the system without having to apply for registration yourself. You can use it after a one-time purchase.
- Self-service registration: You can register an API number by yourself (self-built number), which can be put into use after registration. The message charging method is the same as the platform number.
The platform number is very convenient to operate, saving you the process of creating it yourself. The system directly allows you to select through number packages.
Click Add Number, select Self-service Number Purchase > Please add our customer service WeChat to purchase.
Although it is more troublesome to create your own account , it provides 1,000 free sessions per month.
Click Add Number, select Self-service Registration > Click Use Facebook Authorization, log in and follow the creation process to complete the self-service registration.
2.4. Third Party-Add API number
The WhatsApp API number you can access from a third-party platform can support access to YCloud, ChatApp, NxCloud, Twilio, ITNIO TECH and Cloud API platform API numbers, making it convenient for you to use data on multiple platforms.
Click to access the third-party API number > select the third-party platform to access > fill in the required parameters > click OK to add it successfully.

2.5. Enable WhatsApp API number
Once you have successfully integrated WhatsApp numbers, you can manage your multiple numbers on the SaleSmartly platform , enabling one-stop chatting , sending, receiving and processing messages of your multiple WhatsApp API numbers.
You don't need to switch numbers repeatedly to reply to user messages. It helps you reply to WhatsApp API number messages more easily and quickly. Click to enable and you can receive notifications in real time. (The same applies to third parties)

2.6. Add customer service-configure customer service
After integrating your WhatsApp API account to Salesmartly, you can configure customer service for your WhatsApp API account to facilitate the management of your WhatsApp API sessions.
You can add your customer service members in [ Basic Settings -Team Management ] and configure social media accounts during the creation process.

After creating a customer service member, you can also return to the [ Integration ] interface to quickly configure the customer service .
Click Configure Customer Service > Check the member you want to configure to this number > Click OK.

2.7. Synchronization
You can also sync the contacts from your WhatsApp API account to SaleSmartly, making it easier to follow up with chats, send bulk messages, and more.
Click Synchronize. Note that the WhatsApp API channel does not sync old contacts or past messages (the same applies to third-party channels).
After syncing, you can check the sync history to track progress. Synced contacts will be available in [ Customer – Customer List ].
2.8. Test message
The WhatsApp API channel supports the test message function. You can use the test message to simulate visitors sending messages to preview the current configuration effect, helping you to more intuitively understand the configuration and actual effect of automation & customer service.
Click Test Message > Log in to your WhatsApp account > Send a message to test the configuration effect. (The same applies to third parties)
2.9. Editing automation
In addition, you can also configure the created automated processes for the numbers to implement required scenarios such as automatic replies and labeling.
Click Edit Automation > Check the automation process you want to configure > Click OK. (The same applies to third parties.)
Note: If you check the box "Associate all automations", the number & post comments will be automatically associated with all the created automation processes.

2.10. Transfer contacts
The system supports migrating contacts under a certain API number to other API numbers, making it easier for you to migrate data.
Click Transfer > Select the number you want to migrate to > Click Transfer> Click OK to successfully migrate contacts. (Same for third parties)
2.11. Self-service recharge
When you buy an account by yourself, you use your balance to purchase it. When your balance is insufficient, you can recharge it on the recharge interface. The system provides a variety of recharge methods.
